Yoga For Writers | Yoga With Adriene

The hardest part is showing up. Let this practice be a beautiful step in the right direction as something that supports you in your efforts as a writer.

This session invites you to choose a soft and easy approach that welcomes you to show up as you are. This 30 min video also offers you an opportunity to rejuvenate the brain and body.

If you are not a writer or an aspiring writer, this supportive practice is a great reminder to everyone who is working towards a goal (whatever the goal may be) that your process toward the goal is perhaps what matters most.

Create a healthy flow of energy to get those creative juices flowing. Write your own story.

Let me know how it goes for you in the comment section down below!

Namaste.

  1. Writing your own story has the power to teach oneself about one’s Self.
And a story, well and honestly told, has the power to connect us to a shared experience.
    Write your own story.

  2. I'm a PhD researcher and I'm currently writing three thesis chapters in tandem. This week I've really been struggling to formulate my thoughts (never mind articulate them in writing!) so I am very grateful to have found this practice. It was the perfect start to my day and I'm looking forward to grabbing a cup of hot water with lemon before I sit down and get to work today. Thank you Adriene for sharing this practice. Namaste

  3. Thank you, Adriene, for endlessly giving yourself and your time to share your life's work. I can feel how much you want to help us all find comfort in the practice, as you have. Thank you for leading the way.

  4. Thank you so much for your amazing videos! I am so grateful for the work you've put into all the things you offer. I was wondering, would it be possible to have a yoga session for coders/programmers?

  5. Hello, Adrienne. I love practicing with you and so do my two sisters, we are your little fan club here. I have almost finished my dissertation and suffered greatly, as I disconnected from the flow and tried to pull through this is a very rational and disciplined manner. But I am creative, a lover of colors and words and only made it to the end in one piece because, as a writer of my dissertation, I connected back into my intuition and flow of spirit, body and mind. Yoga and meditation have been a great part in this little success story. Thank you.

  6. This felt like 10 minutes. Incredibly relaxing, loved that I had my eyes closed 85% of the time. Love you Adriene 💜

  7. Thank you for a wonderful practice. I came to the mat with tensed shoulders, and stiff back and legs; I left completely relaxed and energized. You’re the best. 👏🏽

  8. I can’t thank you enough for all the specific practices you create. You are a blessing to millions of people, Adriene.

  10. I've ever practiced this session, but I thoroughly enjoyed and can see how it would help all levels of creativity. Its so nice to get out of ones head and just focus on breathing. I know it must promote writing because here I am writing, if not too creatively, writing none the less. Keep the good juices flowing💚

  11. i changed your affirmation slightly to: "When i sit down… my words flow freely…" Thank You, Adriene ~
